Software Development Manager

Our work depends on Software Development Manager joining our team to lead a highly-specialized team to deliver quality Electronic Health Record (EHR) software solutions to be utilized nationwide.
How a Software Development Manager will make an impact:
Provide technical, administrative, and operational leadership to promote collaborative and efficient software development teams that utilize hybrid Agile/waterfall development methodologies and tailored software development management platforms.Plan and coordinate all activities associated with software development and/or technical projects.Collaborate with application project managers and client stakeholders to ensure successful project deliverables, on time and within quality standards.Work closely with other application technical leads and the Software Development Sr Manager to refine software development processes, ensure proper technical project staffing, and provide technical leadership.Manage teams of highly experienced technical staff that work remotely from locations across the US.Act as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.Assist team members with technical support for site incident tickets.
What you'll need to succeed:
Education: Bachelor’s degree computer science/systems, information systems/technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, or business/finance.8+ years' experience in the design and development of software systems.Experience in information system requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing.Experience managing multiple software development teams and establishing software development processes and procedures and supporting quality assurance efforts.Working knowledge and experience with Agile development processesSolid analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess business requirements.Ability to independently assess and manage technical staffing levels and assignments.Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams and client, strong problem solving skills, ability to develop and maintain healthy and positive team culture.
Preferred Skills:
6+ years' experience in the design and development of healthcare systems.Experience with the Indian Health Service RPMS and/or Veterans Administration VistA EHR systems, including Mumps/FileMan.Working knowledge of Microsoft .Net browser and applications.
Location: Remote in the U.S.
Clearance: Must be able to obtain an appropriate level Public Trust which requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the past 5 years.
