Software Engineer, Application Development and Maintenance

This position will be responsible for assuming the development duties of a J2EE based application with a significant number of integration points into a variety of backend systems. The right candidate will be a technical developer for applications that rely heavily on Java.

Responsibilities

Work closely with internal team and technical lead on implementation of design.

Work effectively within large, matrixed project teams.

Collaborate with internal peers

Follow Cardinal Health’s software development lifecycle

Lead small to mid-sized technical initiatives and provide technical direction and input

Act as technical mentor on team to provide skill uplift to junior and mid-level team members

Utilizes development skills to build (code) and unit test new systems functionality per technical specifications, with deliverables to include code builds and documented unit test results. 

Possess strong problem solving and communication skills. Must be able to articulate an issue, accurately identify solution options and communicate the best course of action to the internal stakeholders.

Enforcing sound development practices and ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions  

Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully

Qualifications

5-8 years of experience, preferred

Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred

Background in developing applications in J2EE, Micro Service/Rest Service/Web Flux, JPA, SOAP UI/Postman, Angular, Springboot, GIT or equivalent Version Management Tool

Strong experience in SQL

Other Preferred experience witn Apigee, Kafka, Google Pub-Sub, Pcf/Tanzu, PostGREs SQL, Google Cloud Platform, Concourse Pipeline,

Experience in an Agile environment

Anticipated salary range: $93,500 - $133,600
