GrabLink's primary business is providing merchants with payment acceptance services. It's first objective was to become Grab's in-house payment gateway. This removes the need for 3rd-party Payment Service Providers (PSPs) such as Adyen, thereby reducing Grab's cost of funds by millions each year. With its license from MAS and card schemes, GrabLink will also commercialize its operations as an acquirer, with expectations of bringing in revenue for GFG
Get to Know the Role
We're looking for Backend Engineers to join our team. You'll report to the Engineering Manager and have the chance to work on multiple app clients with multiple programming languages. Identifying problems and having the initiative and skills to solve them is crucial in this role. This role is based in Ho Chi Minh city and on-site.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
Design and enhance the latest services setting a high standard for availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of Grab's range of products.Build and deploy performant modern web backend services.Work with engineering team to explore and create new design / architectures geared towards scale and performance.Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.Participate in service capacity and demand planning, software performance analysis, tuning and optimization.Collaborate with product and experience teams to define and prototype feature specifications.Work with infrastructure team in building and scaling back-end services and performing root cause analysis investigations.Develop, analyze and fix large-scale systems.Learn backend service performance tuning and optimization.Debug and modify complex, production software that serve millions of users in southeast asiaQualificationsWhat Essential Skills You Will Need
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Technical background with 2+ years of experience building APIs.Experience with programming principles, financial transaction consistency, and Git version control.Experience with software development life cycle and agile methodologies.Experience approaching a problem from different angles, analyzing pros and cons of different solutions.Experience communicating updates and resolutions to customers and other partners, with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates.Willingness to participate in professional development activities to stay current on industry knowledge, open to embracing new technologies and development practices.Grow in a collaborative environment involving different partners and subject matter experts.Additional InformationLife at Grab
