Role Summary The Vehicle Applications teams’ mission is to ensure our products are always ready for our customer’s next adventure. We achieve that mission through a suite of applications that integrate our platforms. Building a vertically integrated company requires a vertically integrated software solution. Our team is developing solutions for every phase of the business, from the invehicle rmware to the cloud, embedded, and mobile applications to our B2B Fleet OS platform. The team is responsible for Fleet Management Applications and our B2B Fleet Console. We provide the ability for a B2B customer to manage their eet of Rivian EV vehicles, through vehicle movements, oversight of their telemetry data with meaningful insights into a EV’s vehicle health through a forward-thinking developer B2B experience with curated APIs, SDKs, Message Streams and UI components. Our tightly integrated Vehicle Applications systems are the backbone to a Rivian’s EV lifecycle. Responsibilities Build, test, and release complex mission-critical full-stack products for internally and externally facing software. Gain a unique look into how EVs work inside-out and strengthen your EV domain knowledge. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for development and integrations. Use automation as an opportunity to reduce roadblocks and achieve deliverables. Work with awesome people, participate in team culture, and build an adventurous future. Qualifications BA in Engineering (Computer Science or relevant degree/experience) or similar experience. Proficiency in Typescript and OOP design patterns. Proficiency in developing API Frameworks (GraphQL preferred, RESTful API pattern). Proficiency in developing frontend components and single-page applications using React with a keen eye for design. Familiarity working with Cloud Infrastructures, AWS Managed Services and Serverless. Event Driven Architectures; Lambdas, Step Functions, Event Bridge, Kafka and Kinesis streams. Familiarity with Node frameworks specically NestJS and Express. Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (Postgres, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.). Great sense of caching, security, and privacy considerations. Unit testing and test-driven development experience. Systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience. Knowledge of Agile Development of Accessible Software Tools. Strong understanding of OOPs.
