At GrabFin, we empower the people of Southeast Asia, from consumers and drivers to every-day entrepreneurs, by ensuring financial inclusion for the underserved. The team is building solutions by enabling our partners (i.e. drivers and merchants) to get access to financial services (lending and insurance) products for their everyday needs.

Get to Know the Role

We are seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join our dynamic team in Jakarta, Indonesia. As an Android Engineer, you will maintain high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform. You will work with teams to provide user-friendly mobile solutions. You will be reporting to the engineering manager.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

Design, and maintain Android applications using Java and KotlinCollaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and visually appealing user interfacesIntegrate RESTful APIs and handle data persistence in mobile applicationsImplement unit tests and UI tests to ensure app reliability and performanceOptimize application performance, battery usage, and data useStay up-to-date with the latest Android development trends and best practicesParticipate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of development processesTroubleshoot and resolve technical issues in existing applicationsWork with the team to estimate project timelines and deliver features

 

Qualifications

What Essential Skills You Will Need

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field3+ years of professional Android development experienceProficiency in Java and Kotlin programming languagesIn-depth knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and the Android app lifecycleExperience working with RESTful APIs and parsing JSON dataFamiliarity with version control systems, GitExperience with mobile app architecture and design patternsExperience with unit testing and UI testing frameworks for Android
