We have an opportunity for a Software Engineer, Quality Assurance to join our Apex, NC team. You will:
Design technically advanced products while thriving in a creative, high volume, working environment.Actively support NPD projects from concept to post-release with strong sense of urgency, creativity, and action.Utilize intellect and best engineering practices throughout Pentair’s product development process (stage-gate). Develop test cases, test plans and test strategies based on functionality requirements and customer needs.Own all aspects of creating and maintaining software test documentation.Development of custom automated test applications.Develop and maintain automation framework in native, web and mobile applications.Participate in the development custom automated test applications.Participate in design reviews with peers and other talented engineering groups.Collaborate with other Pentair Global Design & Manufacturing Centers as well as strategic suppliers.Passion and commitment to software quality and reliability. Coordinate between onsite and offshore testing activities.Defect tracking, Bug triage, root cause analysis.Key Qualifications:
B.S./M.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field from an accredited institution or equivalent expertise.5 - 10 years of software testing experience in a high-volume production and product development environment or equivalent expertise. Be proficient in C/C++, Python, VB.netHave experience in manual test methods such as unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.Have experience in automated testing such as scripting or software test harness design.Have experience with software development lifecycle, including specifications, development, debug, and deployment.Must be self-motivated and able to multi-task and communicate effectively with little supervision.Have experience in Selenium, Java, Appium, Browserstack, Web/Mobile automation frameworks.Experience with C# and scripting languages such as Java or Python.Experience with static analyzing tools. Exposure to Linux and embedded Linux.Experience with Git and GitLab.Experience with Agile or equivalent software development processes.Experience with Continuous Integration.Experience in test management and automation tools Zephyr, QC ALM, QTest, UFT, Appium, Katalon, iOS, Android StudioWillingness and flexibility for domestic and international travel.Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated annualized base pay range will be from $82,300 - $152,800 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as, annual incentive bonus.
