The Role:

The SRE team at Sauce Labs is looking for a quality-driven software or infrastructure engineer who is ready to constantly challenge themselves by working on a wide variety of DevOps technologies. The Site Reliability Engineering Team is a select group of technologists from varied backgrounds that is always striving to do the right thing for all our internal and external customers. The team provides a unique opportunity to work on public and private cloud technologies, software, and systems while working side by side with our engineering teams to launch new features with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in all team ceremonies and collaborate in cross-team initiatives as needed Participate in an on-call rotation for incident response Optimize processes and systems with a bias toward reduced toil and increased autonomy Implement and maintain solutions with an ownership mentality Break down medium-sized work into concrete deliverables Champion and support a security-first ethos Support solutions and systems across a wide range of technologiesAbout You:
You are capable of breaking down medium-sized bodies of work into manageable, discreet items with a view of approximately one month out. You thrive in a mostly structured environment that is occasionally subject to interruption. You want to create systems and tools that are designed to enable others in a self-service environment. You have exemplary communication and interpersonal skills.
You have extensive experience with the following:
Metrics, Logging, and Tracing (Prometheus, Thanos, OpenTelemetry, Tempo, LGTM Stack, or Similar) Kubernetes Helm or Kustomize Incident ResponseYou have strong experience with at least 2 of the following:
Programming in Python or Go Identifying and driving SLOs Linux performance tuning Large-scale or distributed systems design Distributed systems and hybrid cloud troubleshooting Security systems such as Web Application Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention, and FirewallsYou have some experience with at least 2 items selected from a combination of the previous list or the following:
