Joby Aviation is seeking a driven engineer with an ability to understand complex problems and create reliable and repeatable solutions. This engineer will play a key role in a small, fast-moving team. They will participate in architecture design and implementation inside of our systems integration test automation system for our electric-powered, fly-by-wire aircraft.
Specifically, this role focuses on writing Test Automation frameworks for embedded aviation components. We are looking for software engineers with strong python skills
Responsibilities Create CI/CD pipelines to automate Software Verification tasks with TeamCityCreate and support Python packages to integrate pytest results in Polarion to deliver DO-178C required artifactsIntegrate existing Python tools into CI/CD pipelines in order to automate and optimize workflowsFacilitate the utilization of new CI/CD tools to scale up the testing of hardware-focused tests Required University degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent and 2+ years full time industry experience. An advanced degree and 1+ yrs experience will also be considered.Advanced knowledge of PythonUnderstanding of Continuous Integration, Continuous Development (CI/CD) and DevOps tools Desired Experience with REST APIExperience working with containerization technologies; docker experience preferredExperience with HTML and CSSExperience with Jira or other issue management softwareWillingness to be flexible and learn new technologiesAbility to work effectively as a team member in a geographically distributed teamPlease still apply if you don’t meet all items in the desired section! Additional InformationCompensation at Joby is a combination of base pay, bonus, and Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The target base pay for this position is $86,800 - $128,900/yr. The compensation package offered will be determined by location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
