What You Will Do:

This is a role within Cisco's groundbreaking Data Center Networking team. You will participate in projects involving development of platform independent software for our next generation network operating systems for Cisco’s industry leading N9K family of switches.

Support Linux based services and associated applications in a highly available, scalable, and secure environment.Adoption of new distributions and open-source component versionsPlan and assist application teams adopt new open-source components and featuresEnsure compliance with FOSS (Free and Open Source Software) requirements at the organization level.Security review of the platform and address open CVEsDebug application compatibility problemsPerform comparative performance analysesPerform comparative memory footprint analysesPerform comparative in service software upgrade analysesImprove build and release automation framework and processWho You Will Work With:

You will work with a diverse group of some of the brightest problem solvers and thinkers in the Data Center Networking/Switching Team that work on next generation of Data Center & Cloud switches.

Who You Are:

Overall 4-8 years of experience in the following areas:

Experience in Linux third-party software and customisation Experience in patching and maintaining Linux based systems Platform development preferably in networking productsExposure to containers and virtualization
