We're looking for a Software Engineer to join the Cloud Infrastructure team at Oracle NetSuite in Brno. Being part of our team will give you an opportunity to have a direct impact on the foundation upon which Oracle NetSuite is built - dealing with challenges in scalability, concurrency, high availability, and the definition and configuration of our Service Infrastructure. Our customer base and related infrastructure footprint continuously grows.

In this role, your main focus will be on engineering all necessary systems and solutions allowing our application suite to be delivered quickly, reliably, and using a repeatable and testable process. Focus will also be on Labs which are extensively used for analysis, development and verification purposes. You will help us modernize and improve user experience through simple and fully automatic deployment and configuration processes with a particular focus on Infrastructure as Code. Additionally, you will help define and develop the software, workflow, and tooling of our Continuous Integration and Deployment framework(s) in the Oracle Cloud.

 

Preferred Qualifications and Experience 

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field 3+ years of software engineering or related experience Familiarity with tools and process for Infrastructure as Code, including SaltStack and Terraform Experience with Python and shell scripting Linux system knowledge Familiarity with container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes Comfortable analyzing complex problems at all levels of the stack, on both client and server (OS, Network, JVM, Application/Browser/CLI, Storage).

 

Nice to Have 

Experience managing services in IaaS environments (e.g. Amazon EC2, Microsoft Azure. Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) Object oriented software development skills (Java, etc.) Desire to learn new technologies that can be applied to large-scale cloud systems Passion for high-quality code
