Overview
Come join the Intuit Platform Security and Compliance Engineering Team as a Software Engineer 2. Our team is responsible for developing and supporting Intuit’s cloud runtime security and compliance capabilities. The ideal candidate will join a team of motivated software engineers with a passion for solving cloud security problems through technology.
What you'll bring
+ BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
+ 2+ years’ experience developing and operating cloud infrastructure and applications
+ Solid grasp of cloud infrastructure and security engineering fundamentals and their practical application, including container technologies
+ Experience with cloud security tools
+ Experience with any of the following programming languages: Golang (preferred) or Python
+ Knowledge of network infrastructure. An understanding of network security is a plus
+ An understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
+ An understanding and preferable experience with web services (REST or SOAP)
+ An understanding of unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD)
+ "Self-starter"" attitude and ability to make decisions independently
+ Helpful, can-do attitude and a willingness to take ownership of problems
+ Strong desire to learn and grow
+ Excellent problem-solving skills with a history of superb delivery against assigned tasks
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

How you will lead
+ Focus on reducing risk by managing Perimeter Security
+ Successful delivery of high-quality automation integrated with AI (where possible) (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.)
+ Roughly 80-95% hands-on engineering and operations
+ Contribute to early quality activities, including peer reviews of estimates, designs and code
+ Resolve defects/bugs during QA testing, pre-production, production, and post-release patches
+ Partner effectively with all team members to deliver against commitments
+ Work cross-functionally with various Intuit teams or business units to drive forward results
+ Commitment to team success and positive team dynamics
+ Passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers
+ Experience with Agile Development, SCRUM, and/or Extreme Programming methodologies
Intuit provides a competitive compensation package with a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is:
Southern California $122,500-$165,500
