Belay Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer (DevOps) to join our intel team. DevOps is an agile development practice and mindset that uses agile principles (collaboration, communication, utilizing the right tools) to streamline software building, testing, and release. Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) is a DevOps methodology for streamlining software development and deployment, focusing on automating processes and enabling faster, more reliable releases.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Software Engineer will be responsible for DevOps activities such as:Managing tools for development, deployment, and integrated testingIntegrating project functions and resources across the entire product life cycleIdentifying manual processes that can be automatedSelecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD toolsImplementing various development, testing, and automation tools, optimizing IT infrastructureEnsuring that system improvements do not jeopardize system securityStriving for improvement, and building continuous integration, development, and deployment pipelines (CI/CD)Persevering when facing challenges, with strong commitment to the goalsCollaborating with and assisting team members across the program as needed
Candidates should have the following qualifications: TS/SCI Clearance with polygraphMust have a solid understanding of DevOpsMust have at least 5 years of experience managing tools for development, deployment, and integrated testMust have at least 5 years of experience working with DC/CD frameworksMust have meaningful System Administration experience (mostly Windows but also Linus)Must have experience with several of the following:JavaGroovyPythonPowerShellBatchBash scriptingJavaScriptAngularJSMust have experience with IDEs (Integrated Development Environments) such as Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, WebStromMust have experience with software source control and configuration management toolsMust have experience working in virtualized environment (managing VMs)Must have experience with container-based platforms for automated deployment of applicationsMust have experience with software source control and configuration management tools Must be motivated, flexible and willing to learn new techniques, technologies and adhere to best practices in test automationMust have a strong understanding of sound software development principles and practicesMust be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writingMust be an independent thinker, capable of performing high quality work, both independently and with a team in a fast-moving environmentIf not located at the MD location, some short-duration travel may be required to support quarterly PI Planning sessions in MDCandidates are desired to have the following skills:Experience with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL ServerExperience with Web Application User Interface Development, knowledge of databases and structures, Spring Framework, and/or experience working with AngularJS, JSON, HTML, XML, XSLTExperience with the Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology, SAFe Agilest Certification, or experience as a member of an Agile teamMust be able to plan and prioritize tasks that support the team sprint goals

Salary Range:
Levels 1 and 2: $70,000 to $190,000
Level 3: $190,000 to $240,000
