Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to): Conduct thorough software and code analysis, requirements analysis, and software reviews to ensure quality and reliability. Utilize object-oriented methodologies to create modular and maintainable software architectures. Develop simulations to model software behavior and validate designs. Create intuitive graphical user interfaces that enhance user interaction with the software. Implement rigorous testing protocols to ensure software meets high standards of quality and reliability. Identify opportunities for performance improvement, usability enhancements, and automation of processes. Support, maintain, and document software functionality to facilitate ongoing development and compliance with standards. Integrate new software solutions with existing systems to ensure seamless operation and functionality. Research and evaluate new technologies for implementation to keep our systems at the forefront of innovation. Implement strategies to ensure software can be localized or globally adapted for various markets. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related scientific or engineering field. In-depth knowledge of C++ object-oriented programming, with several years of experience applying this knowledge to complex software architectures. Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies and programming languages and adapt to diverse environments and methodologies. Familiarity with software development methodologies (i.e., spiral development), version control systems, and debugging tools. Proficient in software development within a Linux and UNIX environment. Experience with Java, C, Python, MATLAB, and shell scripting is preferred. Familiarity with publish-subscribe middleware, parallel programming, and distributed systems is desired. Knowledge of UNIX-like operating system architectures, network programming, and real-time programming is preferred. Familiarity with x86-based computer architecture is preferred. Basic understanding of UNIX system and network configuration and administration to aid in software development is strongly preferred. Willingness to participate in field testing, which may involve travel to locations (i.e., Huntsville or Kwaj). Due to the nature of the work, an Interim clearance is required, however an active Secret clearance is highly preferred. POST-OFFER BACKGROUND CHECK IS REQUIRED.
