Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of a manager, the Software Engineer is an intermediate-level engineer who performs hands-on work assignments at the sprint task level, with full responsibility for completing individual tasks in a timely fashion to provide complete and correct solutions.
This position works with a diverse team of engineers to quickly grow their technical skills and learn to develop software products that support business goals and objectives. The Software Engineer I has access to technical coaches who keep up to date and are relevant in all the latest technologies and best practices.
Primary Accountabilities:
Technical (100%)
Design, develop, test, deploy, and support new software solutions and changes to existing software solutions
Troubleshoot technical issues in a variety of application environments
Work toward competence across the technologies used by the team; be a self-motivated learner
Own and complete tasks as an active contributor to the team, involving others appropriately
Demonstrate competence in analysis and problem-solving
Deliver timely, accurate, and high-quality work to production
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in computer science, information systems or related field
3-5 years in application engineering roles; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the major responsibilities/essential functions of the position
3+ years experience using RPA/Low-code platforms. ServiceNow Creator workflows and ServiceNow RPA platform experience are a plus.
Experience working with Agile or Lean software development approaches
Experience with SQL-based languages
Experience with cloud computing, GCP is preferred
Familiarity with Github is preferred
Familiarity with Jira and Confluence
