Job Description Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic Software Engineering Chapter at Chevron. In this role, you will: Participate in the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), focusing on the design and development of new software solutions and supporting existing ones within Chevron’s business units. Utilize software engineering capabilities to simplify complex business processes and drive business value through all SDLC phases. Apply a breadth of skills  in integration, cloud development, coding, and scripting/automation, combined with business domain knowledge in your functional area. Key Responsibilities + D eliver innovative solutions, driving them through design, planning, development, deployment, and support, simplifying business processes and workflows to drive business value . + Participates in deploying software across different environments using standard software engineering and DevOps practices. + Collaborate with internal partners, Program Managers (PMs)/Product Owners (POs) in forming vision, direction, and work priorities. + Develop software solution leveraging established Chevron technology standards and collaborate with internal partners to develop new technology standards as needs arise. + Full stack software development with .NET , C#, SQL, JavaScript, and relevant front-end libraries / frameworks (Angular, Vue, React), Web services (SOAP/REST), PowerShell, Low Code Frameworks (Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform) , etc. + Represent team in architectural discussions and decision making. + Advocate solid software development practices in the team covering testing, modularity, scalability, observability and integration. + Stay updated with the latest software engineering tools and practices for continuous integration, unit tests, static and dynamic profiling, code coverage, code analysis, and automated tests. + Debugging and fixing issues by applying basic programming concepts & patterns, applying in-depth knowledge of business domain to improve business workflows, and collaborating with business partners to identify , prioritize and implement application enhancements . + Provid e tactical and strategic technical leadership . What You Will Bring Experience + 3+ years of relevant post-qualification experience. + Knowledge of modern solution design methods (MVC, MVVM, SPA, etc.). + Hands-on experience developing and supporting solutions using Microsoft technologies (Azure, .NET, Power Platform, SQL Server). Expertise + Proficient in major development tools and processes, such as source control, requirement gathering, documenting functional specifications, solution design/architecture and testing (unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, regression testing, etc.). + Strong communication and facilitation skills with solid ability to convey business and technical information to a diverse audience. + Proficient in any JavaScript/typescript framework like: React, Angular, etc. Analytical skills + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to engage difficulties with persistence. Leadership + Demonstrated leadership skills especially in leading small projects with a cross-functional team. Qualification + Bachelor (B.Sc./B.Eng./B.Tech) with minimum of Second Class Upper or equivalent or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related numerate sciences (e.g., Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, etc.). + Certifications in Microsoft Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) and/or Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) is considered a plus. Additional Considerations + Familiarity with information risk management requirements and processes. + Familiarity with integration technologies and patterns (API, Messaging, Data Integration) is considered a plus. + Experience working in an agile team (Scrum / Kanban) is considered a plus. + Experience with Cloud Programming leveraging the Azure Technology Stack, Ansible, and Azure DevOps is considered a plus.
