Job Description:
We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to support the design, development, and testing of advanced software systems. As part of a dynamic team, you may develop software to control the world’s first production directed energy weapon system, build digital twins for realistic warfighter training environments, or design AI models to detect unexploded ordnance. This role requires versatility, a problem-solving mindset, and a passion for working on unique, mission-driven projects that integrate tightly with sophisticated hardware systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and test software for complex defense and training systems
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with advanced hardware components
Troubleshoot and debug software, proactively resolving issues to ensure system reliability
Contribute to software documentation, ensuring clarity for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Engage in Agile development practices and participate in team sprints
Required Qualifications
Clearance: Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
Experience: 3-5 years of programming experience in an object-oriented language (e.g., C#, Java)
Skills: Strong troubleshooting and debugging abilities; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
Desired Qualifications
Programming Experience: 3-5 years with .NET or .NET Core; experience with WPF is a plus
Development Tools: 3-5 years of experience using version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and an IDE (e.g., Visual Studio)
Additional Skills: Experience with Unity; familiarity with DevOps, particularly Gitlab Pipelines; knowledge of various communication protocols (TCP, UDP, RS-232, RS-422); experience with Agile development practices
