Software Engineer
CTG is seeking to fill a Software Engineer opening for our client in Rochester, MN. Location: Remote Duration: 6 months Duties: The Software Engineer will design, develop, and support new/existing applications. They will primarily work with the team lead for work assignments and collaborate with business users and other IT technical teams to gather requirements and additional information. Design and develop back-end services and applications. Collaborate with teams to gather requirements and provide solutions. Develop and support applications using React, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML. Work with relational databases, including SQL, and integrate systems using REST APIs. Participate in Agile Scrum processes for continuous development and delivery. Ensure system uptime, resilience, and scalability. Document processes, source code, and solutions thoroughly. Work with DevOps practices using tools like ADO, Terraform, and Azure Pipelines. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with a focus on root cause analysis. Skills: Proficient in React, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML. Strong experience with relational databases and SQL. Solid knowledge of REST APIs and system integration. Experience with Java, Spring frameworks (desired). Familiarity with Agile Scrum development methodologies. Working knowledge of Microsoft ADO and Build pipeline tools. Experience with cloud environments, especially GCP. Knowledge of deployment automation and configuration management tools like ADO, Terraform, and Puppet. Hands-on experience with cloud technologies and services. Understanding of data engineering, business intelligence, and machine learning systems. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in software development and support using React, JavaScript, JQuery, and HTML. At least 5 years of experience with relational databases and SQL. Experience with system integration using REST APIs. Experience with Java and Spring frameworks (desired). Experience with Agile software development processes. Experience with GCP Cloud hosting (preferred). Experience with DevOps and continuous integration/deployment practices. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 1 year of hands-on software development experience or internships. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and strong technical aptitude. Familiarity with professional software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including code reviews, build processes, and testing. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
