Software Engineer

Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation, and manufacture of products across many different industries. Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the software core and its graphical user interface (GUI) in a desktop application environment. Using C++, actively participate in the design, development, and validation of new features, ensuring the production of robust and maintainable code over time. Leverage technical expertise and project management skills to plan, coordinate, and execute project initiatives from start to finish as a project lead. Mentor and guide developers to enhance their skills, fostering continuous growth and improving overall team performance. The long-term responsibilities will involve spearheading the transition of our applications to the cloud, solving complex architectural problems, and addressing a diverse range of technical challenges that arise during this strategic initiative. The role will involve developing cloud-related skills and expertise to support the transition and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams located around the world. The ideal candidate also possesses Scrum Master skills, which will allow you to facilitate and coordinate the development team’s work by implementing agile practices and ensuring the team adheres to Scrum principles.

Key strengths for success:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in software solution design and implementation, with expertise in object-oriented programming and C++. A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in relevant fields. Knowledge of the Qt library and Python is a plus, as well as familiarity with cloud technologies. Strong proficiency in Windows and Visual Studio. Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems is a bonus. Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Open-minded, with strong interpersonal abilities and a collaborative spirit in international teams. Solid understanding of agile methodologies and experience applying them in Scrum teams.
