De Beers Technology Business have operations in both Cape Town and Johannesburg, South Africa and is part of the De Beers Group. We deliver technical services and technology systems to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the De Beers Diamond value chain (from exploration to diamond recovery). Activities include marine geophysical survey, sampling, and mining, projects, engineering, technology development and maintenance. Projects include the establishment and development of a fleet of mining ships and all associated equipment. We provide specialized diamond processing and recovery technology for the De Beers Group Exploration and Mining Operations. Job DescriptionThis role reports into Technical Services Unit (TSU)
Develop new technical software systems, enhance and maintain current technical software systems to ensure continuous improvement in operational efficiency according business needs. The nature of the work involves innovating and problem solving and the role involves a high degree of individual contribution and good application at both a practical as well as theory level. Travel to Namibian offshore installations for commissioning and support of software systems will be required.

Minimum 5 years in Software Engineering and Systems Integration with a proven track record of object-orientated software development
