As a Software Engineer, some of the day to day responsibilities include: Designing, developing, testing, and maintaining the Portal software, as well as delivering product enhancements and fixes that meet or exceed the needs of quality, functionality, and timeliness

Job Description:

Responsible for all aspects of software product development including design, implementation, testing, and release of sub-systems and capabilities within the Click Portal Software.Participates in and responsible for deliverables and processes in the software lifecycle; design, coding, debugging, and testing.  Development is primarily in C# but includes other technologies including a source code control system and coding, testing, and documentation standards.Object-oriented design and analysis.Quality assurance and testing, including performance testing and test automation.Respond to and handle Client Support escalationsIn depth performance analysisDevelopment support as required to ensure customer satisfaction and delivery through Huron Professional Services and the Product Support teams.Learn and understand Huron’s customer domain and business to enable interpretation and development of requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:  

Four-year technical degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems or equivalent professional experienceTechnical competency in hands-on system software development including experience in data driven web application or platform development, product development including design, implementation, debug/testing, documentation, and release.

3 - 5 years of relevant experienceStrong computer science skills and experienceObject-oriented including inheritance & interfaces, multi-threaded, n-tier programming in a modern language/environment (.Net, C#).Highly proficient in C# and Visual Studio  Testing framework KnowledgeUnit testing experience with NUnit or other testing frameworksDevelopment and performance testing and tuning of server-based applicationsExperience in REST and developing RESTful APIsWeb application development technologies; HTML5, XML, Ajax, jQuery, CSS3, TypeScriptExperience with Microsoft Server components: IIS, SQL Server, Windows Server OS, ASP, .Net, MVCExperience working with SQL Server or another OLTP Relational DatabaseDatabase technology and database programming; SQL, SQL Server.Development experience with Team Foundation Version Control or other source control systemsAuthoring developer documentation and release notesFamiliarity with agile development methodologiesPrevious experience in a design and development role.Ability to work independently or in a group with minimal supervision.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability and experience in design for generality and abstraction.
