Software Engineer - Backend - Oracle

ABOUT THE TEAM

You will be part of a dynamic team working on to build products to protect Rubrik customers’ Oracle database deployments in data centers and in the cloud. We make it easier for customers to protect their databases and faster to recover from unforeseen events.Oracle is one of the fast growing businesses for Rubrik. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team. We believe in giving engineers responsibility, not tasks. Our goal is to motivate and challenge people to do their best work.

 

About the Job (YOUR ROLE) 

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Full stack ownership including design, implementation, and testing of new features which protect customers’ Oracle databases in data centers and in the cloud. Troubleshooting issues experienced by customers and internal product testing, and providing robust solutions. You will be collaborating with different teams including non-engineering teams such as support, product management, and sales team. Data driven approach for analyzing field and internal issues, while developing a scalable and maintainable product. Nurturing team culture, which sets high standards and achieves them through collaboration.

About you (YOUR IMPACT)

You are passionate about working with complex distributed systems that serve business and enterprise customers:

Degree in Computer Science or related field 1-2 years of product development experience Able to identify scalable and elegant solutions to complex problems Strong interest and ability to learn new technologies Proficiency in Scala, C/C++, Java Large distributed systems design and development experience preferred Experience with Oracle is a bonus
