Job Description
We are looking for passionate software engineers with a experience in Java. Together with us you will be responsible for the development of the CommandCentral Video Services and Edge Appliance Software helping communities and first responders in their day to day work. Your responsibilities will include design, development and cooperation with other teams from the CommandCentral family. Responsibilities will include:
Participating in formal design and implementation activities.
Developing requirements, code and unit and other automated testing solutions.
Providing engineering management with accurate effort estimates for projected work.
Effectively collaborating with technical leaders in a multi-team environment.
Demonstrating flexibility and resilience in the face of changing priorities and requirements.
Must have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Math or related fields .
Software development experience
Experience with Java (11+), Java (Spring), REST
Knowledge of Kubernetes/Docker or alternatives
Working knowledge of Spring Framework or similar frameworks.
Able to troubleshoot and debug issues; work with remote teams as required.
Knowledge of CI/CD Pipelines
Knowledge of Docker Containers
Ability to solve challenging technical problems under time pressure
Ability to drive the problem to the solution without being supervised
Nice to have:
Familiarity with the streaming protocols: WebRTC, HLS, or similar.
Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms
Experience with AI Frameworks
Experience with Git / GitHub
Target Base Salary Range: $56,900 USD - $105,300 USD
Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.
Note: Candidate must be in the Chicago/Schaumburg office 1-2 a week.
