Overview:
The Cyber and Intelligence Solutions (C&I) team is responsible for product management and innovative product development of products and services to address the evolving risk & cyber security needs of all of MasterCard’s various customer segments. The C&I team was established with the responsibility to safeguard all aspects of safety and security in payments and have made great strides with new products, services and standards, positively impacting all aspects of our current and future payment eco-system.

Ekata, a Mastercard company, is the global standard in identity verification, providing businesses worldwide the ability to link any digital transaction to the human behind it. Our Ekata Identity Engine, the first and only of its kind, uses complex machine learning to combine features derived from the billions of transactions within our proprietary network and the data from our graph to deliver industry leading risk assessment solutions.

Name of the Role: Software Engineer I - CoreIP

In this role You will:
•\tWork with low latency, cross-region API products processing transactions across the globe
•\tAnalyze Data and support Data Driven decision makings
•\tDevelop in Scala and in Clojure
•\tGet involved in SDLC
•\tAutomate and maintain data workflows in a distributed environment
•\tBe responsible for the performance and the tests of your code
•\tWork in SCRUM with continuous planning
•\tWork with active support of senior colleagues
•\tWork in cloud (AWS) environment

All About You: 
•\tFluent in English (verbal and written)
•\tInterest in data science/analysis is a plus
•\tInterest in functional programming is a plus
•\tFluent in at least one commonly used programming language, JVM based language especially Scala/Clojure is a plus
•\tOpen to work in non-regular working hours (start late finish late)

All About You: 
•\tFluent in English (verbal and written)
•\tInterest of learning big data processes
•\tInterest in data science modelling and data analysis
•\tFluent in Python, SQL is a plus
•\tSpark is a plus
•\tOpen to work in non-regular working hours (start late finish late)

What you’ll need  
•\tTo be available for start from 1st September 2025
•\tTo be a Final Year Masters/Undergraduate Student or to have graduated no earlier than September 2024

•\tStrong verbal and written communication skills   
•\tAnalytical and problem-solving skills 
•\tStrong strategic and conceptual aptitude 
•\tAbility to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects concurrently 
•\tHigh-energy, can-do attitude, very strong sense of ownership and desire to succeed with commensurate analytical, technical, and strategic skills
