Our Software Engineers are responsible for the end-to-end software development lifecycle whilst collaborating and communicating with appropriate parties. Our cloud platforms are in need of continuous maintenance, upgrades and health checks to maintain high quality service. Our engineers are expected to develop automations and solutions that will achieve that.
Key responsibilities:
Develop code / automations using various technologies
Maintain product compatibility with latest technologies
Troubleshooting & resolve issues as part of the software development life-cycle
Communicating and enforcing coding standards
Belong to an agile team with agile rhythms
Collaborate with DevOps, Developers, Testers, Team Leader.
Required Skills:
Computer Science Degree or equivalent degree in a related subject i.e. MIS
Previous experience in DevOps role, with ability to debug complicated script sequences.
Hands on experience with the following:
o GIT (either Bitbucket or GitHub)
o Jenkins pipelines
o Shell scripting (Bash and/or PowerShell)
o Linux cli
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
Flexibility to work as part of a rotational 24 hour on-call program.
