About the team + role

Robinhood has an expansive experimentation A/B testing platform, Kaizen, and SerVars, our Dynamic Configuration platform. Using these services, Robinhood is able to run significant experiments to identify new and novel ways to continue to democratize finance! These services are widely used across the company and reach up to 1.5 million TPS! We build the service in modern Go, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and React and work very closely with multi-functional partners to ship features daily.

We are looking for a Software Engineer, with a passion for full stack development, to help us grow from our current walk stage of the offerings to aspirational leap/fly stages. What you’ll do Develop responsive and intuitive UI components to ensure seamless integration of user feedback-driven changes into the UI. Create or update RESTful or GraphQL APIs to support frontend features in order to ensure APIs are optimized for speed and scalability to handle real-time user interactions. Collaborate with designers and PMs to refine user flows based on customer feedback. Cross functionally collaborate with users, understanding their workflows and limitations, in order to build an interactive, next-generation level user experience. Develop A/B testing frameworks to evaluate the impact of features while implementing feature flags for controlled rollouts and segmentation. What you bring Demonstrated experience you are a proven engineer with experience planning and building large projects with long-term impact on a single system or team. Strong understanding of frontend development ideally with technologies like, or similar to JavaScript/TypeScript, React.js, Next.js (or similar), HTML5, CSS3, and modern web standards. Frontend Development: Experience with server-side languages/frameworks (e.g., Python/Django, Node.js, or Java/Scala) and building RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints. (Big Plus) Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g. DynamoDB, Memcached). Base pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The expected salary range for this role is based on the location where the work will be performed and is aligned to one of 3 compensation zones. This role is also eligible to participate in a Robinhood bonus plan and Robinhood’s equity plan. For other locations not listed, compensation can be discussed with your recruiter during the interview process.
