We work with hardware and software teams throughout Apple as well as our developer ecosystem to deliver ever more functionality, deeply integrated with iOS, watchOS and all the rest, all without sacrificing power, performance or privacy.DescriptionDescriptionAs a member of the team, you’ll have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to expand the functionality of the Health app and HealthKit framework. We collaborate across Apple feature teams, hardware teams, domain experts like doctors and fitness experts, and our third party developer ecosystem. Our primary responsibilities are delivering new health and fitness features, designing solutions for distributed health data storage, performance, OS integration, and API design and delivery. This position requires a curious and self-motivated engineer with strong technical and communication skills to handle responsibilities including: - Developing innovative solutions for efficiently syncing health data across multiple Apple platforms - Designing and tuning features for use by millions of users on power and performance constrained devices - Designing and comprehensive test suites in collaboration with our quality assurance and engineering teams - Designing logical, scalable, forward-thinking APIs that serve our developers’ needs - Participating in peer review of architecture, API, and individual software changes - Collaborating with and advising other teams across Apple, including Design, Privacy, and Security, as well as domain experts in health and fitness Minimum QualificationsMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experienceStrong foundation in Computer Science fundamentalsStrong communication and collaboration skillsKey QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsExperience in object-oriented architecture and designUnderstanding of systems-level concepts like multithreading, interprocess communication, and performance tuningEducation & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAdditional RequirementsPay & BenefitsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $121,900 and $183,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
