We are seeking a Software Engineer - I\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nThe software engineer will provide the development, test, deploy and sustainment of various Python based ReST end points, microservices, and data model management capabilities utilizing Django and Flask frameworks to interact with data models such as MariaDB, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL and send data upon request, in JSON format, to UI front ends.\nThe developer will provide middleware and backend support to all system applications.\nDebug existing software and correct defects.\nProvide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.\nDesign and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.\nIntegrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.\nDevelop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.\nWrite or review software and system documentation.\nDevelop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.\nDevelop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, confer with users or system engineers; analyze systems flow, data usage and work processes; and investigate problem areas.\nModify existing software to correct errors to improve its performance.\n\n

Required Qualifications:\n\nPython\nExperienced using Django or Flask\nDatabased experience using MongoDB or MariaDB\nReST endpoint development\nMicro service model\n\n

Preferred Qualifications\n\nSwagger\nAWS, C2S or other cloud experience\nDocker\nVisual Studio Code or similar IDEs\nJSON and\/or XML serialization\nJira\nConfluence\nGit version control\nAgile\n\n

Position requires an active TS\/SCI with Polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.\n

Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university\n4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes made be substituted for a bachelor's degree\n7 years' experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.\n\n
