The designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems and APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring high system performance and reliability. Proficiency in backend technologies like Java along with experience in RESTful APIs and databases, is required and will be located in Bangalore location.
**In this role, a typical day will look like:**
+ Design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs that are scalable, reliable, and secure.
+ Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other team members to design and implement end-to-end solutions.
+ Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices, including code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing.
+ Contribute to the architecture and design of backend systems, ensuring they meet scalability, security, and performance requirements.
+ Maintain thorough documentation for APIs, system designs, and code changes to ensure clarity and knowledge sharing.
+ Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
**The essential requirements of the job include:**
+ Engineering degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) with 2-3 years of professional experience in backend development, preferably in a full-stack or backend-focused role.
+ Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, SQL, or similar backend technologies.
+ Strong understanding and hands on experience of event driven cloud architectures, object-oriented design (OOP), design patterns, and RESTful APIs.
+ Quick to learn new technologies and adapt to different tech stacks, with flexibility and a technology-agnostic mindset being a plus.
+ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and self-driven learning.
**Good to Have**
+ Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
+ Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
+ Familiarity with test automation and test-driven development (TDD).
+ Knowledge of security best practices in backend development.
