JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
FactSet is seeking a Software Developer with exceptional problem-solving skills to join our engineering team responsible for making our product more scalable and reliable.
Deliver high quality, reusable and maintainable code, perform unit/integration testing of assigned tasks within the estimated timelines
Proactive in providing technical solutions with effective communication and collaboration skills
Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed
Work in an agile team environment and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth product delivery
Ownership of end-to-end product and individual contribution
Performance improvements with the help of metrics provided by automatic monitoring of product
Ensure high stability of our products
Continuous knowledge sharing among internal and external engineers to the team
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related courses
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organized, self-directed, and resourceful with the ability to appropriately prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn a variety of technology stacks used in FactSet
GOOD TO HAVE SKILLSETS
Python and Python-compatible modules and technologies (e.g., Pandas, Numpy, Jupyter notebooks, etc.)
GitHub-based development processes
AWS environment and services (e.g., Redshift, EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.)
Infrastructure as code using Terraform
Agile software development (Scrum is a plus)
Linux/Unix environment
