Software Engineer II, Android - Financial Products
## **About the role:** As a Software Engineer on the Financial Products Engineering team in Brazil, you will be a member of Uber’s first Tech Center in LATAM and be part of the global engineering team! Our team owns the platforms responsible for building the next generation of Financial Products which will help our customers achieve their life goals. As a critical part of the customer journey, we build engaging products by solving deep technical challenges, in problem domains that are specific to Uber’s business. You’ll be writing reliable and maintainable code that teams across the company rely on while you, and you will collaborate with the other team members to design, develop, and maintain user interfaces and features for mobile applications (Android). **What You'll Do:** - Design financial services solutions - Coding in Android (Java or Kotlin) - Collaborate with code review, design review, etc - Work collaboratively with other engineers and cross functional stakeholders, like Product Managers. **Minimum qualifications:** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field **AND**/ **OR** +3-year total technical software engineering experience; - Proficiency in Java and Kotlin, strong knowledge of both programming languages commonly used for Android development; - Experience with Android SDK, strong knowledge of Android's core libraries, tools, and frameworks. - Knowledge of Android UI/UX Design Principles, experience designing responsive and intuitive user interfaces; - Advanced English language skills to work with other engineers and stakeholders from different regions around the world; ## **Technical skills:** - Product engineering - Scalability engineering - Distributed systems - Able to communicate in english We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
