Software Engineer II, Frontend, ML Platform
**About the Role** We are looking for a Frontend Software Engineer to join our Michelangelo ML Platform team. In this role, you will work on the UI of our Michelangelo Studio product. The Michelangelo team works on building end-to-end ML systems and up-leveling ML quality at Uber. You will be part of a team of strong software and systems engineers, performing in a fast-paced environment. For more information on the Michelangelo Machine Learning Platform, see our select blog posts: - [https://www.uber.com/en-NL/blog/from-predictive-to-generative-ai](https://www.uber.com/en-NL/blog/from-predictive-to-generative-ai) - [https://www.uber.com/en-NL/blog/scaling-ai-ml-infrastructure-at-uber](https://www.uber.com/en-NL/blog/scaling-ai-ml-infrastructure-at-uber) ### What the Candidate Will Do - Develop and maintain UI for Michelangelo Studio - Work on the bleeding edge tools in the area of Generative AI - Collaborate and communicate with a globally distributed team to help discover gaps in our user interfaces, tooling, and infrastructure, and help drive solutions. ### What the Candidate Will Need: - Frontend Development Expertise: At least 3+ years of experience in frontend development with TypeScript/JavaScript, including experience with frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue. - Educational Background: A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Software Development Practices: Strong understanding of software development best practices and design patterns. - Collaborative Skills: Ability to work effectively within a globally distributed team, with strong communication and collaboration skills. ### Bonus Points: - Backend Engineering Experience: Experience in backend engineering, contributing to a more holistic understanding of full-stack development. - ML Platform Experience: Previous experience working on machine learning platforms or products, particularly those involving generative AI.
