Our Warsaw office is an incredibly exciting addition to our EMEA expansion. We're already in the UK, France, and Germany, and the new Poland location is a global engineering and product development hub alongside our headquarters in Redwood City, California. Join our growing engineering teams in Warsaw! Depending on your skills, experience, and preferences, you’ll have the opportunity to join one of several teams to solve some of the toughest challenges as we build out the future of content management in the cloud. Your work will directly impact the productivity of millions of users at some of today’s most significant enterprises.

We are currently looking for the engineers for the following teams:

Platform Tools: The Platform Tools team empowers developers to build enterprise solutions on the Box Platform with tools like cloud sandboxes, CLI, auto-generated SDKs, and APIs. We focus on delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions to simplify integration with Box.

Partner Integrations: The Partner Integrations team develops new apps, product integrations, and frameworks to support our growing list of strategic partners and inspire the broader ecosystem of developers. Our goal is to build a powerful best-of-breed cloud stack with a single content layer.

What you'll do:

Implement server-side logic and database interactions using Java and related frameworks. Create and maintain APIs to facilitate seamless communication between backend and frontend systems. Collaborate closely with designers and product managers. Participate actively in code reviews to ensure high code quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance across the entire stack for a smooth user experience. Maintain documentation on development setup and engineering environment along with the greater team. Compose written specifications and documentation for software projects. Attend and engage in stand-ups, weekly team meetings, manager 1:1s.   Play a role in developing and fostering Box culture in the newly created office. Participate in the production on-call duties rotation with the team members

Who you are: 

2+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining full-stack solutions. Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, software design principles, and object-oriented programming. Adaptability is at the core of our expectations. Our current main tech stack is Java 17, and Spring Boot, PHP, JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, but we highly value a solid foundation and swift learning. Review and assess the technical feasibility of project requirements and propose innovative solutions. Share knowledge with the team on best practices and coding standards, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment. Perform application testing to ensure reliability and functionality, driving quality and consistency across deliverables. Actively engage in feedback processes, contribute to code reviews, and play a role in enhancing team processes and practices. Must speak English proficiently

Additional points for: 

Experience with public cloud systems such as GCP, AWS or Azure Experience with messaging infrastructure - RabbitMQ, Kafka or similar technologies. Experience contributing to open source project

Boxers are expected to work from their assigned office a minimum of 2 days per week, with a focus on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
