Job Description Summary:

The Software Engineer-II designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and Internet-related tools. Determines software’s compatibility with hardware and/or influences software's design in relation to hardware.

Job Overview:

Develops software tools including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines software’s compatibility with hardware and/or influences software's design in relation to hardware.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Understands end user requirementsWrites commercial/enterprise grade softwareProvides input on designs for software enhancements and new productsDemonstrates ability to identify presence of code problems and bring to attention to senior engineers for resolutionDocuments and communicates on technical topics without directionSeeks to shadow other Engineers; working to debug customer issuesWorks under limited direction of a manager and/or team lead to implement software enhancements, correct defects and/or create new productsUnderstands hardware and software systems Self-directed in learning of the application subject matterShows proficiency at programming within a team

​Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of software engineering experienceProven track record of software development in the real worldProgramming languages: C and/or JavaOperating systems: required Windows/Unix, optional z/OS, iSeries or z/VSEWorks well in a team; team oriented, collaborative, accountable, dependableExercises curiosity

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Kafka, Apache Iceberg, Parquet, JSON, Avro, Databricks, or SnowflakeExperience with databases, Oracle, PostgreSQL Microsoft SQL Server also in the cloudCan-do attitudeCurious and asks "why"Reliable and accountable for one’s work

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information technology or related field

Travel Requirements:

<5% minimal travel

Annual salary range for this position is between €28,700.00 - €53,300.00 gross before taxes.

Salary range applies only to candidates in Lithuania

Salary offer for the candidate is determined based on the predefined salary ranges for the position and depends on the level of competence and experience of the candidate.
