Software Engineer II

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, or maintenance of Java/J2EE web sites, using authoring or scripting languages.Writing, design, or editing Java/J2EE applicationCreate DevOps pipelines in GitHubReview problems uncovered by testing or customer feedback and approve the correction of the problemAdvise and direct management or development teams to prioritize needs, resolve conflicts, develop content criteria or choose solutionsDirect development or validation of test routines and schedules to ensure that test cases mimic external interfacesMaintain an understanding of current web technologies or programming practices through continuing education

Educational Background
Must hold a degree in Computer Science/Information Technology course or a related discipline (engineering background preferred)


Technical Qualifications: (3-5 years)

Experience with Java 8 and above required.Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Framework (both).Experience with SOAP/REST Webservices required.Experience with App servers (JBoss/Wildfly) required.Experience with creating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub required.Experience with SQL required. (prefers MySQL)Experience with XML, Junit (Mockito), JSON, contract testing for REST web services.Experience using Docker, GitLab (CI/CD) – (required) Kafka, Cache (Redis)Experience with software architecture, system tuning, debugging.

Non-technical Qualifications:

Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills (Required)Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time (Required)Self-motivated, detail oriented, and highly responsible. Must be a faster learner and multi-tasker.
