The Internet of Things (IoT) is fast becoming one of the hottest technology trends as new business and consumer scenarios are unlocked that rely on insights and control from devices of all sizes. Microsoft Azure is an industry leader in IoT with the introduction of Azure IoT and Microsoft IoT Central, providing comprehensive solutions that span devices, device management, gateways, advanced analytics, and command & control functionality. We are looking for a software development engineer with strong problem solving and design skills and a drive for execution and results, with an emphasis on quality software.  We value passion, creativity, desire to learn new complex technical areas, agility and accountability.   IoT Central is built using Azure on Linux, Docker, NodeJS using Typescript, and Kubernetes.  Experience in these technologies is a strong plus.  **Responsibilities** -Work collaboratively with a team of 5-7 software developers using SCRUM. -Design, Develop and Test backend REST API services using a microservices architecture. -Design, Develop and Test some front end user experiences using REACT -Support monitor and troubleshoot owned services in production and participate in on-call rotations. -Collaborate with product and engineering teams across Azure -Candidate will build on and use Azure cloud technologies that include Cosmos DB, Service Bus, IoT/Event Hubs , Azure Data Explorer , Azure Stream Analytics, Azure SQL and others. **Qualifications** **Required Qualifications :** + Minimum of 3 years technical software development experience + Deep exposure experience with distributed programing and datacenter operations of large “web-scale” online services + Demonstrated success in building API, SDKs, as part of integrated solutions. + Demonstrated success in building exceptionally secure, reliable and scalable systems software + Education: BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience **Preferred Qualifications :** + Experience with Linux, Docker, NodeJS using Typescript, and Kubernetes + Experience with using React Framework + Experience with Rest APIs and Client SDKs + Experience with golang is a plus \#IDCAzureEPHiring Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
