POSTION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY: Primary responsibility is to develop high quality software solutions as a contributing member of a highly motivated team of Engineers. This individual will serve the “Software Engineering II” role on an Agile team on NCR Retail Loyalty Program. Loyalty team within NCR is searching for a dynamic individual who can own development to deployment. You desire to work in a team of full stack developers and love working in an Agile environment. Loyalty and marketing solution in Retail product line for NCR and represents a critical component of our total self-serve strategy. Responsibilities include: + Develop high quality software which meets requirements, promotes re-use of software components, and facilitates ease of support. + Diagnose, isolate, and implement remedies for system failures caused by errors in software code. + Utilize software-based system maintenance and tracking tools. + Provide input and technical content for technical documentation, user help materials and customer training. + Conduct unit tests, track problems, and implement changes to ensure adherence to test plan and functional/nonfunctional requirements + Analyze, design, code reviews and implement software mechanisms to improve code stability, performance, and reusability. + Considered subject matter experts in their chosen field. + Experience in DevOps with CI/CD and Operations methodologies, procedures, tools, and practices. + Manage and resolve customer & business escalations for customers, in a follow-the-sun approach. + Coordinate operational activities with other NCR cloud support working closely with the Infrastructure, Security, Application Support, Devops and Architect functions. + Integrating Automated & Alerting services for hosted environments + Participates with industry groups, stays current with technology and industry trends, disseminates knowledge to team members, forms best practices. + Communicate with Solution Management and other internal teams. + Participates in cross-functional collaboration within the organization. + Supporting cloud migration of existing customer + Responsible for ensuring availability and reliability of customer environments + Work on Infrastructure provisioning scripts for deployment on Azure/ GCP + Maintain and improve on existing deployment script on Azure using Helm FluxCD BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field + A minimum of 3 years of experience in software design and development + A minimum of 2 years of experience in preferred technology stack, Must to Have + OOPS concepts + Very strong development experience Java; Spring framework; Spring boot + Spring Security + Multi-threading Concepts + REST API development + API Documentation + Unit testing with JUnits and/or BDD with Cucumber + Messaging services, Caching + Very strong understanding of SQL or PostGRSQL DB + Strong in Debugging, Memory Leaks, Profiling, Crashes, etc + Experience on Github and Release pipeline support. + Experience with scripting languages any of – Python,Shell, Powershell + Experience with cloud Azure or GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Observability tools like Prometheus/Grafana , Dynatrace + Experience with any CI tool (Jenkins/Github Action) + Experience with CD – Helm, Ansible, FluxCD/ArgoCD / GitOps model Good to Have + Hands on development experience with Linux OS + Good understanding of NFT Performance; scalability and availability and familiarity with Tools + Cloud Native Application Development + Linux OS and scripting + Should be familiar with HTTPs/SSL + Experience with Cloud migration projects is preferred. + Networking concepts like how to setup and configure name servers and network interfaces Load Balancers + Deep understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills + Experience operating in an Agile environment, with a deep understanding of agile development principles. + Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma Lean principles.
