We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Microsoft Intune engineering team. Microsoft Intune is an industry leading cloud-based device configuration and security management platform offered by Microsoft. It empowers organizations to efficiently manage and secure hundreds of millions of devices, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux, all from a single, centralized platform. Intune provides tools for configuring device settings, deploying applications, enforcing security policies, and ensuring compliance, all while enabling remote work and enhancing productivity.
As a Software Engineer II on the Intune team, you will be at the forefront of developing solutions for device management, security, and modern workplace experiences at a large scale.
This position is primarily to help us with AI for IT administrators. The team is responsible for building Copilot and Agentic AI capabilities, which enable admins to efficiently complete their tasks, making organizations more productive and secure.

**Responsibilities**
+ Design complex systems: Design of complex software systems, considering security, scalability, maintainability, and cost-effectiveness working with peers and architects.
+ Code Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews with a focus on delivering a high-quality product and ensuring compliance with standards that safeguard customer security & privacy and modeling the engineering culture we aspire to for other engineers on the team.
+ Problem Solving: Solve complex technical issues to improve the service & our customer's experience.
+ Project Leadership: Take ownership of and drive key cross-team development projects, ensuring the results align with business goals and timeline requirements while managing risks.
+ Production Service Support: Work as part of an on-call rotation to support the services within the team's ownership, mitigating customer impacting incidents, driving clarity, and providing guidance and leadership to other engineers on the team when handling incidents.
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
**Other Requirements:**
+ Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft
+ Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
+ 3+ years of experience building and shipping production services.
+ 3 + years of demonstrated ability and experience in the entire services development cycle: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and supporting the service in production.
+ Experience in developing production services at large scale.
+ Great communication skills to collaborate cross-team and work effectively within the team.
+ Willing to work as part of an on-call rotation to mitigate customer-impacting incidents with the service.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.
