Our Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Software Engineer II to join our User Experience Engineering team based in Boston, MA! The ideal candidate has experience with JavasScript frameworks/libraries, HTML, CSS and Java. This team’s goal is to build components and tools that impact the user and developer experience across chewy. This enables a friction-less customer experience as we build, learn and iterate on our core and new capabilities.

What You'll Do:

Design and build new features and capabilities on our customer facing StorefrontWrite scalable, performant, readable and tested frontend codeParticipate in technical decisions and collaborate with peersReview code, implementations and give relevant feedback that helps others build better solutionsWrite documentationProvide mentor-ship and guidance for peers and more junior engineersEstablish strong working relationships at all organizational levels and across functional teamsRefine our JavaScript frameworks, processes and standardsTake responsibility and ownership of project timelines

What You'll Need:

3+ years of experience in Software Development as a Front-End EngineerFluency in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and other client facing technologiesExperience with a modern JavaScript framework such as Vue, React, and/or VueExperience with JavaCandidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experiencePosition may require travel

Bonus:

Experience with Vue.jsExperience with AWS
