Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Develop web applications and web services using Java, Python , Spring, Spring Boot, SOAP, REST, XML, HTTP, and other web technologies.
Manage multiple tasks and responsibilities in high-pressure environments, excelling at pinpointing and resolving problems in early project stages to avoid cost/time expenses.
Deliver high-quality projects on time, demonstrating the ability to design architecture, write high-quality code, and execute effective unit tests.
Optimize performance tuning for high utilization, 24x7 access.
Integrate third-party products with existing infrastructure, including cloud platforms like AWS, ECS, Kubernetes, and relational/non-relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Aurora, Amazon RDS, and Dynatrace.
Apply security tools and practices to ensure secure coding and data protection in software applications, including Veracode, Crisma, and SonarCloud (preferred).
Conduct comprehensive testing of applications and systems, including unit testing, integration testing, and performance testing to ensure the robustness and scalability of software solutions.
Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work equally well in self-managed and team-based Agile projects.
Work with internal customers to gather business processes and project requirements.
Research, design, and develop computer software systems in conjunction with hardware product development, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
Analyze software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
Consult with hardware engineers and other engineering staff to evaluate the interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of the overall system.
Formulate and design software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcomes and consequences of design.
Develop and direct software system testing procedures, programming, and documentation.
Ensure the work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained.
Perform miscellaneous projects as assigned.
Update technical skills as required.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skill and Abilities
Experience with Web Services development: REST/SOAP/SOA/XML/HTML.
Strong experience with cloud platforms: AWS, ECS, Kubernetes (preferred).
Strong experience with databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, Cassandra, Aurora, Amazon RDS, Dynatrace.
Experience with Java frameworks: Spring, Spring Boot.
Experience with security tools and practices: Veracode, Crisma, SonarCloud (preferred).
Experience with testing frameworks: Unit testing, integration testing, performance testing, and using tools like JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
Good understanding of issue troubleshooting and performance tuning.
Commitment to quality through the ability to translate complex technical requirements into functional software using best practices to write high-quality code.
Experience with programming languages: Java and Python.
Ability to work effectively in both self-managed and team-based Agile projects and provide technical guidance and leadership to other team members.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Subject matter expert in the area of responsibility or has extensive knowledge of several technical areas.
Typically requires a technical university degree or equivalent experience.
5 years of prior relevant experience.

Department Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years' experience and a proven track record in developing web-based applications and web services using Java, Python, Spring, Spring Boot, SOAP, REST, XML, and other web technologies, including experience interfacing with databases and integrating third-party products with existing infrastructure.
