We currently have an exciting opportunity for a MarTech/AdTech Software Engineer II to join our Technology Team. This high-visibility individual will work alongside multiple teams, such as Marketing, Ecom, Rental, Analytics, Data Engineering, and various stakeholders, to support Email and SMS communications by building segmentation by leveraging the MarTech/AdTech. As a Software Engineer II for Marketing Technologies, you will support the omnichannel communications for all brands and touchpoints. This includes building end-to-end emails, from HTML creative assets to real-time API-triggered emails to batch email deployments. What you’ll do: Tracking & Tagging (Website & Email/SMS): Utilize Google Tag Inspector required for tag validation across website, Email, and SMS campaigns. Verify the accuracy and sequence of events within the Data Layer for tracking website, Email, and SMS campaign performance. Analyze website updates for potential impact on tracking across all channels. Demonstrate proficiency in GA4, including custom report creation and understanding of default events and tracking parameters relevant to website, Email, and SMS marketing. Integrations Management: Liaison between business and vendors for all integration aspects. Implement alerts for anomalies or other data discrepancies. Data Consistency and Security Across Channels: Troubleshoot discrepancies between website inventory, product feeds, and Email/SMS marketing materials. Verify consistency between server-side data (seen by bots) and client-side data (seen by users) for all channels. Identify limitations in the current URL structure to accommodate future upcharges and markdowns across all channels. Ensure Schema markup on the server-side aligns with both the consumer-facing price on the client-side and the prices reflected in product feeds. Work with Security team for new product viabilities, implementing safe security methods, CCPA, DSAR requests and others. Communication & Collaboration: Notify ChannelAdvisor, ESPs, SMS providers, and marketing partners of data integrity issues and feed delivery delays. Translate technical concepts into easily understandable language for non-technical stakeholders. Adtech Exploration Provide and maintain documentation on all Adtech tools and integrations with Adtech tools Explore ever changing Adtech space and provide recommendations on possible tools that can benefit the organization Have in depth knowledge on DSP, SSp, DMP, programmatic advertising, digital advertising. Be the technical liaison between adtech platforms such as youtube, connected tv, referral marketing. What you’ll bring 5+ years of experience of database management and SQL concepts (joins, Booleans, database relationships). Understanding of URL structure (subdirectories, query parameters, etc.) Knowledge of server-side vs. client-side rendering. Familiarity with structured data and Schema markup. Ability to diagnose HTTP status codes. Proficiency in using Google Tag Inspector or similar tools. Experience with GA4 and creating custom reports for website, Email, and SMS campaign analysis. Understanding of default GA4 events and tracking parameters relevant to website, Email, and SMS marketing. Awareness of event sequencing and consent management (OneTrust). Ability to analyze the impact of website updates on tracking across all channels. Knowledge of organic channel tracking via HTML DOM elements. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
