As a Software Engineer II - Oracle Developer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial & Investment Bank group, you will be integral to a high-performing team dedicated to implementing innovative technology solutions. Your role will involve developing comprehensive processes and features, as well as ensuring platform stability. You will primarily focus on our independent Oracle environment, DataMart, which is designed to cater to the needs of users and downstream interface partners. This position also offers the opportunity to gain knowledge about the ACBS core application and environment.
Job Responsibilities :
Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to
Build solutions or break down technical problems
Work on Oracle PL/SQL, Windows/Power Shell scripting, Java Configuration, Dev Ops, Production & Infrastructure Support
Perform code reviews & work independently as an individual contributor
Create secure and high-quality production code & promotes code to higher environments using CI/CD
Maintain Strong Partnership & Collaboration
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience
Experience in Software Development Life Cycle including development experience working with large databases/data warehouses in a globally distributed team
Strong exposure on Oracle functionalities including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and PL/SQL
Knowledge of Java with Kafka data platform technology
Knowledge of Windows env with PowerShell
Technically proficient in SQL and good hands-on experience in developing complex SQL queries.
Experience on tools that connect to Oracle like SQL Developer, Toad, SQL Workbench, IntelliJ etc.
Experience in Developing, debugging, testing, implementing and designing projects to bring efficiency to the application, and Perform code reviews and assist the team in supporting.
Rapidly understand, simplify and communicate back complex concepts in a pragmatic way to cross-functional teams, team members and managers
Familiar working on Agile/SCRUM environment
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills :
Experience working in a financial services company environment.
Knowledge of traditional credit products specifically Commercial Loans.
Knowledge of Oracle data warehousing
Knowledge on ACBS is a plus
Knowledge of Java/Kafka is a plus
Working with API’s is a plus
Experience with Continuous integration/Continuous delivery (CI/CD) including a DevOps as part of Software Development and Deployment Life Cycle.
