Software Engineer III, Technology and Society, Full Stack

Minimum qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
+ 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree.
+ 2 years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
+ 2 years of experience with full stack development, across the back-end with Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end with JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications:
+ 2 years of experience with performance, systems data analysis, visualization tools, or debugging.
+ Experience in developing accessible technologies.
+ Experience in code and system health, diagnosis and resolution, and software test engineering.
+ Experience in designing features and services for data pipelines with developing tools to work with different data types and ingest data by handling public data sources.

In this role, you will work on full stack projects to improve the data import tooling and process working with our internal and external team that helps manage many of our data imports.The Technology and Society organization connects research, people, and ideas across Google and Alphabet to help shape and advance our most ambitious technology innovations and initiatives and their impact on users and society for the better, and responsibly. In addition, we also aim to share perspectives, engage, and collaborate with others externally on technology related issues and opportunities for society.
+ Write product or system development code.
+ Guide design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies.
+ Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure quality (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
+ Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
+ Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
