Software Engineer III - (employer: Sirius XM Radio Inc.; job location: Irving, TX) - Develop and execute advanced architectures and platforms for next generation software to control and enable satellite and streaming audio, data services and advanced telematics features. Analyze internal and third-party product requirements and specifications, and understand software framework architectures and designs to meet internal and external customer needs. Help develop user interface software specifications and software and advanced infotainment and telematics features for SiriusXM Radio receiver products. Collaborate with receiver manufacturer partners to resolve outstanding user interface software issues during the product development process. Participate in review sessions for new user interfaces, features, and software implementation designs. Author software application notes, programming manuals and training materials. Apply data analytics to quantify and provide insight to process improvements. Perform special projects, lab/field testing and other duties as required. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, plus two years of experience in the position offered or a software engineering/developer role. All required experience must have included developing, testing, and deploying software using C/C++, C#, Java, HTTP, JSON, QT, Flutter, and RUST; developing in advanced software development environments using IDE, compilers, operating systems, source management tools, CI/CD and test tools; working with embedded, real-time software with clearly articulated complex system requirements and design considerations; and authoring software application notes, programming manuals and training materials.
