As part of Client's Customer Specialty Portal & Outage Experience Organization, you will be part of a fast-paced, energetic, and high performing team helping to develop external and internal web applications that help enhanced day to day experience for customers (external and internal). We are a cross-functional team, and some technology team members may have a focus on front-end, while others may focus more deeply on back-end services but with goals of having full stack team members. We are looking for experienced team members with the versatility and enthusiasm to work across technologies and a desire to work on an ever-evolving team. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with technology peers and business partners to design, build and deploy new software using agile/XP/test driven development using a wide range of technologies and solutions. You will be focused on developing well-designed, efficient code that adheres to the latest industry standards and assist in coding, testing, and debugging new software or making enhancements to existing software for customers. You will be working with designers, developers, and product owners in a small team setting to integrate software components into fully functional software systems spanning multiple business areas. You will be part of on call – support rotation for applications under the portfolio. Typical Functions: • Creates, maintains and enhances cloud native solutions as part of a durable product team. • Researches, evaluates and implements new technology to optimize application efficiency and usability. • Designs new functionality based on product backlog priorities and coordinates development efforts in collaboration with durable product team and cross-functional organizations • Maintains records to document system and programming development and revisions. • Leverages CICD automation and best practices to deliver quality solutions to our end users • Applies iterative development to continuously deliver value through frequent deployments • Mentors other application developers. • Ensures adherence to appropriate design, coding and cybersecurity standards. • Leads design and code walk through as a presenter or reviewer. Required Qualifications: Job-specific knowledge, skills or abilities: • Experience with Python, Angular 2+, Terraform, Java Spring Boot, Oracle, SQL Server, Agile (Scrum and Kanban), Git, Bash, Kafka, Apigee, Node.js, GitHub Actions • Experience with AWS Services such as S3, CloudFront, Route53, API Gateway, Lambda, datastores such as DynamoDB, Aurora, etc. Preferred Qualifications: • Strong team player that works well with others • Effective communication skills. • Full stack development experience with exposure to Java cloud native APIs • Experience with event driven architecture leveraging Kafka • Experience with AWS, Clienture, GCP or other cloud platforms • Demonstrated success in complex problem solving and an understanding of quality delivery. • Demonstrated ability to work with others having differing priorities/views/goals than your own to meet your goals. • Understand and lead others in use of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC). • Familiarity with GitHub and Jira • Exposure to SAST code scanning tools **About US Tech Solutions:** US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
