What you'll do...

Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Develop and maintain front-end applications using ReactJS and NodeJS to ensure reusability and scalability. Analyze, design, and modify web application incorporating HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript. Write comprehensive unit test cases with Enzyme, Chai, Sinon, Jest, and React-Testing Library to ensure application functionality. Build and optimize web applications with tools such as Webpack. Monitor and address user and product owner-reported issues using Quantum Metric and collaborate with cross-functional teams for solutions. Collaborate with UX designers, backend developers, and team members for the delivery of high-quality applications. Design and develop Restful/GraphQL APIs adhering to best practices and contribute to project success. Create automation test cases using the in-house STAR framework for end-to-end testing. Implement APIs to use across Sam’s Club desktop, mobile and customer support application. Debug errors on deployed features using Splunk logs and provide detailed steps for issue resolution. Communicate progress, issues, risks, and key dependencies to stakeholders regularly. Work with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to come up with regression tests that cover new changes to application.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or related area.

Skills required: Experience coding in JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience implementing web applications using HTML and CSS. Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Single Page Applications using React.js and Redux. Experience writing unit tests using Enzyme, Jest, and React-Testing Library. Experience using Git and GitHub for version control. Experience using Quantum Metric to identify production issues. Experience designing RESTful/GraphQL API with NodeJS. Experience using Linux operation system and virtual machine for application development. Experience writing end to end automation test cases using WebDriverIO and Jest. Experience debugging errors in APIs using platforms including Splunk. Experience using JIRA and Confluence management tools. Experience with advanced data structures including trees, priority queue, heap, and algorithms. Experience using web application build tools including webpack, gulp, and npm. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $117,000/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
