What you'll do...

Position: Software Engineer III

Job Location: 640 W. California Avenue, Sunnyvale, CA 94086

Duties: Conduct code reviews and ensure software code quality through the use of automated testing. Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software to optimize operational efficiency. Participate in the entire software development life cycle to ensure the successful deployment of applications. Ensure system consistency and improve user experience by resolving functional and non-functional requirements. Document all procedures within the software development process for future reference and improvements. Maintain and improve the performance of existing software by analyzing and identifying areas for modification. Mentor junior software engineers to help them improve their skills and knowledge. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company's software solutions are up-to-date and competitive.

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area; OR Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years of experience in software engineering or a related area. 

Skills required: Experience with at least one of the following object oriented programming languages: Scala, Golang, and Java. Experience with stream processing and messaging systems using Apache Kafka or Apache Pulsar. Experience with relational databases and query languages using SQL, Azure SQL, and Yugabyte. Experience with ElasticSearch or Cassandra non relational databases. Experience designing, developing, and deploying RESTful web services and APIs using Scala, Java, and Python. Experience with Spring Boot and Flask/Django frameworks. Experience with Cloud Services and Technologies including Azure SQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Dataproc, and Kubernetes. Experience with test automation, system administration, and application deployment using Java, Python, and Bash/Shell Scripting. Experience with Test Frameworks including ScalaTest, JUnit, Testify, pytest and PyUnit. Experience with monitoring and visualization tools including Grafana, Splunk, Prometheus, and ELK Stack. Experience with CI/CD and Automation using Jenkins, GitHub, and Bash scripting. Experience with containerization and orchestration using at least one of the following tools: Docker, Kubernetes, or Podman. Employer will accept any amount of graduate coursework, graduate research experience or professional experience with the required skills.

Salary Range: $150,762/year to $234,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
