As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer and Community Banking, Core Banking Technology team you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

 

Play a part in setting the roadmap and overseeing the day-to-day management of platform/environment management, setting strategies and overseeing the public cloud resources, provisioning, optimization etc. Maintain deep understanding of the technical aspects of platform and provide operational leadership to the engineering and product team. Implement robust processes and operations dashboard to monitor the platform performance, user feedback and adherence to service level agreements (SLA), resiliency and key operational metrics in real-time. Develop strong partnership with controls, technology risk management, architecture and compliance to understand the firms requirement and influence/contribute to the maturity of the firms capabilities. Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software  Development Life Cycle Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies

 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

 

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Hands on experience in public cloud - AWS, Kubernetes. Hands on experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) platform - Terraform Advanced in one or more programming language(s): Python, Golang Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight Practical cloud native experience

Hands on Devops expereince Certifications in AWS or Kubernetes or Terraform
