Join our forward-thinking Corporate Data and Analytics Services (CDAS) team where you'll play a crucial role in advancing our data strategy and solutions and unify teams to create a strategic and consistent data management approach across our Corporate Technology (CT) organization. As part of the Data Core Engineering group within CDAS, you'll contribute to executing the CT Data Strategy by developing key data solutions, including the Corporate Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Entitlements, and Data Quality frameworks in order to enhance the Data Developer Experience through self-service and fully observable platforms, while collaborating with CT Teams and adopting firmwide solutions. In this role, you'll focus on long-term priorities such as integrating the data catalog with data platforms and applications, automating metadata collection, enabling multi-platform data access enforcement, standardizing data quality frameworks, developing a unified solution for data retention and destruction, all while embracing data mesh and data product principles, including fostering domain-driven data ownership, creating self-service data platforms, and treating data as a product to ensure high-quality, accessible, and reliable data assets. Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems Designs, develops, tests, and maintains highly scalable and efficient full stack cloud-native applications Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot and Cloud technologies Extensive experience with RESTful APIs, micro-services architecture, and web services Solid understanding of database technologies, including SQL or NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB) Experience with middleware and messaging technologies (e.g., Kafka). Knowledge of caching/search frameworks (e.g., Elasticsearch, Gemfire Cache). Proficiency in testing tools and automation techniques (e.g., JUnit, Mockito). Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, DevOps, and Security Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (e.g., HTML5, JavaScript, React JS).
