Software Engineer in Test (Selenium, RESTFUL, SQL, Etc.)
Job Description:

We have an opening for a Software Engineer in Test to join the Fidelity Institutional Product and Business Enablement Technology (FIPBET) team. You will be part of a growing team that works on both client- and server-side technologies, and you will have the opportunity to grow and develop professionally within the Fidelity organization.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

3+ years experience in software quality engineering

Experience creating test automation solutions in tools and frameworks such as Cucumber, Fitnesse, Selenium, TestNG

Experience with continuous integration practices and automated deployment tools

Proficient in Java or equivalent software languages

Good level of SQL and database knowledge

Familiar with some of the following: Spring/Spring Boot, Angular, RESTful services

Service testing experience preferably with Karate and/or RESTAssured frameworks

Experience with service virtualization tools such as Wiremock or Parasoft Virtualize

Experience with Agile methodologies and practices

Deep understanding of manual and automated testing concepts, including behavior driven development (BDD)

Excellent communication skills (oral and written)

The Purpose of Your Role

As part of a scrum team made up of other software engineers and systems analysts, you will:

Contribute to the QA automation strategy for our applications, to enable rapid delivery of key customer features

Work collaboratively with engineering and business colleagues to help define acceptance criteria and derive release testing requirements

Design, implement and complete functional and regression test cases/suites that ensure an application build is ready for release

Reproduce, debug, and isolate problems and verify fixes

Be a part of on-call support rotation every quarter

Develop minor application features in Java and/or Angular
