Software Engineer- Infrastructure

The Software Engineer will be part of the Cloud Engineering (Infrastructure and DevOps) team responsible for all of Cornerstone’s production systems and services. The goal of the Cloud Engineering team is to achieve highest levels of efficiency and productivity using various tools, processes, and frameworks. You will collaborate with some of the best technical minds in the industry and contributing to one of the best cultures in the industry. You will work closely with the Software Development organizations in support of our state-of-the-art 24/7/365 production SaaS service offering. This critical position provides great visibility and individual growth potential for an ambitious Software Engineer professional, but also requires proven experience with exponential growth on a global scale.

In this role, you will…

Develop, test and debug automated tasks (Apps, Systems, Infrastructure) and manage orchestration tools like Jenkins and AWS lambda/Systems Manager.Perform analytics on previous incidents and usage patterns to better predict issues and take proactive actionsWork with development teams throughout the software life cycle ensuring sustainable software releasesDevelop infrastructure as code, being hands on with developing services, automation without use of console.Build and drive adoption for greater self-healing and resiliency patternsParticipate in performance tests; identify bottlenecks, opportunities for optimization, and capacity demandsPerform hands on management of cloud infrastructure and document cloud infrastructure and policiesUnderstand on premise policies, solutions, and technologies and integrate with the cloud infrastructure where applicable.Serve as a technical point of contact for SRE and help with communication of SRE Principles to projectsHandle configuration drift in older accountsContinually decrease time to provision new AWS accountsRewriting system components from AWS EC2 to EСS

You’ve Got What It Takes If You Have…

Must have U.S. citizenship for eventual Federal clearanceAWS experience along with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solutions Architect – Associate, Professional (would be a good addition) but not necessaryMastery in at least two or more software languages (e.g., Python, Groovy, PowerShell etc.) with respect to designing, coding, testing, and software deliveryBack-end software development experience with C#, PythonAdept in the development of automated tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, etc.), systems, and services in multiple technology domainsGood knowledge of infrastructure components (e.g., networking, DNS, cloud services, orchestration tools, containerization, compute, and storage systems)Proficiency in service-level changes to a system and troubleshooting componentsScripting/automation experience
